Versions and Downloads
======================

    The current recommended version of GeoMesa to install is |release_last|.

GeoMesa artifacts can be downloaded from the LocationTech Maven repository:
https://repo.locationtech.org/content/repositories/geomesa-releases/

Snapshot artifacts are available in the LocationTech snapshots repository:
https://repo.locationtech.org/content/repositories/geomesa-snapshots/

`Java JRE or JDK 8`_ is required to run each binary distribution.

To build and install the source distribution requires:
